Tree Climber / Arborist

Tree Huggerz is looking for an experienced Tree Climber who can safely climb trees to prune, trim, remove, and support them using proper arboricultural techniques. This role requires strong climbing skills, sound judgment, and a commitment to safety. The ideal candidate is comfortable working at heights, operating chainsaws and rigging systems, and working as part of a professional crew.

Responsibilities include:
• Pruning, trimming, shaping, and removing dead or hazardous limbs
• Safe and controlled tree removals using climbing and rigging techniques
• Installing cabling and bracing for structural tree support
• Operating chainsaws, hand tools, chippers, and equipment as needed
• Maintaining a safe, clean job site and following all safety protocols
• Communicating with crew members and clients when necessary
• Inspecting, maintaining, and caring for climbing gear and tools

Skills & Qualifications:
• Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs and working at heights
• Experienced with climbing systems (saddles, ropes, spurs), rigging, and chainsaws
• Strong safety mindset (ANSI Z133 / OSHA) and proper PPE use
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and team-focused
• Valid driver's license required (Class B CDL a plus, not required)



Work Environment:
• Outdoor work in all weather conditions
• Team-based work with ground crew support
• Involves heavy equipment and physically demanding tasks.
